Fdisk is reporting that my sector size is 2048, not 512, and this is resulting in an inability to write the partition table to disk. Is there another tool I must use, or do I need to use a different hard drive for this machine?

Thanks

My guess is that you're looking at the cd, not the harddisk. And use mac-fdisk instead of fdisk.

Seems like it. I tried /dev/hdc and somehow *that* was the correct drive. Thanks for your reply.
