I am trying to setup airpot. I followed the guidelines in the ppc FAQ So far, I have a /etc/conf.d/wireless file that reads:
Code:
modules_eth1=( "iwconfig" )
config_eth1=( "dhcp" )
essid_eth1="upstairswireless"
channel_eth1="6"

I also ran:
Code:
rc-update add net.eth1 default

I have WEP 128-bit encryption enabled on a lynksys router so I assume I need to include the key somewhere, I just don't know where. I feel like I'm missing a major step or two. ?

As far as I know, the Orinoco style drivers only support 40(64) bit encryption. I would set it back to 40(64) bit encryption on your AP as no WEP encryption method offers any real protection and 104(128) bit encryption only adds to the overhead. :p
