Hi ho!

Emerging madwifi-driver-0.1401.20060117 gives me the following error:

I think theres a missing "&&" in line 19 before "report".
I changed this in the unpacked directory. But how I can now emerge this without portage letting it unpack again, overwriting the changed script?

Greetings,
Lupo

Use the ebuild program like this: ebuild unpack, make your change, then ebuild merge

There's no error there, post the entire output to the bug.

That's not an error, it's a non-fatal warning. What exactly are you doing?

I followed your tip to ebuild unpack, make my change, then ebuild merge.

Any clue?
Btw, thx for your help.

edit: will try it tonight with gentoo-sources. Just to verify that this isnt a kernel related problem now.

I tried it myself to verify, and this was printed as well. It looks like the TOUT variable needs to be set to something else (/tmp maybe).

Did you tried it with gentoo-sources?
If so, you could perhaps reply to my bug-report on bugzilla?
