After removing kdebase from my worldfile and --depcleaning, my system was left with the kdelibs package which I -Cleaned by hand. From that point on portage was about to re-emerge it on -uD due to dependencies which were still left. Took some time for me to get the point but using the following way you can see which package pulls dependencies on -uD

Quote:

punt slave # emerge -pov --tree world

These are the packages that I would merge, in reverse order:

Calculating world dependencies ...done!
[nomerge ] net-firewall/kmyfirewall-1.0-r2 -arts -debug -xinerama
[ebuild N ] kde-base/kdelibs-3.4.3-r1 -alsa -arts -cups -debug -doc -jpeg2k -kdeenablefinal -kerberos -openexr +spell +ssl +tiff -xinerama -zeroconf 0 kB

As you can see, the net-firewall/kmyfirewall pulls the kdelibs package. After -Cleaning it, kdelibs is also removed from the dependencies list.
