I know its only the sample.

Now here we go.. I really don't know what kind of hardware I have on board I know I have an ATI card but don't know which one (I know, I know.. I am making a complete fool of myself).
I first tried to install kubuntu to get an idea of the hardware but luckily nothing showed up.

oh and before I forget I had to pass video=ofonly option to kubuntu and gentoo livecds to be able to see anything.

here is my cpuinfo
Quote:
# cat /proc/cpuinfo
processor : 0
cpu : 750FX
temperature : 1-76 C (uncalibrated)
clock : 700MHz
revision : 1.18 (pvr 7000 0112)
bogomips : 1384.44

total bogomips : 1384.44
machine : PowerBook4,3
motherboard : PowerBook4,3 MacRISC2 MacRISC Power Macintosh
detected as : 257 (iBook 2 rev. 2)
pmac flags : 0000001a
L2 cache : 512K unified
memory : 256MB
pmac-generation : NewWorld

Thanks very much and I will appreciate any help/comment.
