Hi,
I've recently installed a stage3 tarball and I bootstraped the system just before configurating the kernel. Everything went fine but when I typed emerge -e system after this message appeared: /usr/bin/python error while loading shared libraries : libstdc++.so.5 : cannot open.... I looked the FAQ and followed the instructions but when I execute env-update the same error appear. Thanks for your time,

Laurent

you installed a "stage 3" tarball and then tried to bootstrap? that's probably your problem. you only need to bootstrap if your doing a stage 1.

If gcc was upgraded during bootstrap, you will need to use "gcc-config" and then "fix_libtool_files.sh" to get your system working properly again.

It's exactly what I did, but when I try to env-update the message pop again so I can't complete the procedure.
