I'm trying to install 2005.1 PPC on a 700mHz, G4 iMAC. When I hold down the C-Key during restart the CD spools up, but instead of going to yaboot it launches OSX 10.2.8 from the hard drive.

If I restart with the firmware and try to launch yaboot manually, it gives me a "filesize is to small" error message and then defaults to OSX.

I zapped the PRAM to no avail; any suggestions where to go from here?

Thanks,

Are you sure you burned the image correctly?

I can see all the files on the CD, so it did burn from the iso file. How can I check if its burned correctly?

You should run an md5 checksum. Download the md5 file for it and run md5sum -c (filename).iso.md5

OK, so I'm a total n00b; I burned the iso to a CD, before burning it to a 'live' disk -- Sorry about the waste of time!
