good morning!

i´m about to buy me a new w-lan card, cause my asus with rt2460 chipset don´t seem to work on ppc,
can anybody give me an advise which 802.11g cards work on gentoo ppc, cause in the shops, i
find only them & i dont want to wait and buy on internet.Thx 4 any help.

i'm not very sure about ppc but gentoo(or linux) in general have bad support for rt series, so try to go for a prism based cards they have better supports in general...

Although I must add that emerge didnt work for me, I donwloaded the sources for the drivers and build it.

I'm successfully using a Zydas zd1211 usb device on a Powerbook 12", I did have the Asus WG-167 usb device but there are still known issues with the rt2x00 drivers for it under PPC :-(

I'm just glad that I have wifi via the zd1211 device, means I don't have to run MOL anymore.

Ok, found something. now got a netgear card from a friend with atheros chipset.The madwifidriver is masked by keyword, but it works.not that fast but enough 4 dsl :D.but still hope 2 get my asus workin in near future.
