Code:
# fix_libtool_files.sh 3.3.5-20050130

If that doesn't fix it try appending -r1 after the version.

Code:
# emerge libtool
# fix_libtool_files.sh 3.3.5.20050130-r1

If fix_l... doesn't work try

Code:
# fix_libtool_files.sh 3.3.5

You've changed CHOST. Use the --oldarch argument to fix_libtool_files.sh.

fix_libtool_files.sh 3.3.6

Fixed a problem I was having emerging totem following a GCC upgrade from 3.3.6 to 3.4.4 . I got the exact same error as the poster of this thread. Just wanted to make a quick (searchable) note in case anyone else has trouble emerging totem.

but i see this file it looks for is in

i see that libtool couldnot find this folder too
why the discripancy in folders
march pentium 4 makes i686 folder?
where from i386 ?

please some one give me an idea how i can link this folder to the knowledge of emerge?
that will solve many of kde files emerge problem in my comp..

the above file tool command seems to have worked.
earlier the emerge knemo used to give error , now its merged to world
the emerge returns sayinf 3 config files to be repaired
i am not sure what to accept.
this is the result after running filetool oldarch
it merged about 60 kde files and more.
can i not have the oldarch default?

You can probably let those files be updated unless you've been issuing yourself certificates.

Although, you should look at using dispatch-conf instead of etc-update.

despatch-conf is scaring more than etc-update

dispatch-conf is showing me 15 files to look at and ask what i want to do?
i dont really know what has to be done.
etc-update i think i should select -5?
i dont know what i am doing.
