Attempting to emerge app-text/xpdf-3.01-r7 yesterday, it gave a build error. I re-synced (today) and tried again, and got the same build error (see below).

Unemerge and re-emerge openmotif, should solve the problem.

Thank you, the command sequence

emerge --unmerge openmotif
cd /usr/include
rm -r Xm Mrm uil
emerge openmotif
emerge world


fixed the problem (skipping the second and third commands didn't work). Xpdf (and openmotif) seem to be working.

I don't know how I missed the thread you pointed me to, apologies for poor searching.

Prehaps this entire thread could now be removed? It's unnecessary clutter.
