so, this is probably a dumb question, but here goes...

how do i find out why a particular package is being newly installed when i do 'emerge -uD world'? when i do 'emerge -puD world', i get several new packages, which i don't want (they would install mail server stuff, and i don't want/have a mail server). so how do i find out which package in world needs it, or what USE flag needs it, or whatever? 'equery depends [newpackage]' doesn't work, and there's nothing in the package list that seems obvious. so how do i find out?

thanks,

EE
