I've installed gentoo on my Mac Mini and it went almost without problem.

The only problem I've had so far is emerging cron (any flavor).
The download and compiling seems to work, but at the end when installing there is a weird error.

I have searched the forum and the bugzilla and i didn't find anything.

Have anyone seen this and have a solution?

/Max

I found the problem.

I compared the /etc/group file of my other gentoo system (P4 installed from stage 3 2005.1) and the cron group was missing in the ppc installation. When I added it to my ppc install cron emerged just fine.

I also compared the group file from stage3-pentium4-2005.1 with stage3-g4-2006.0 and there was a number of groups missing in the /etc/group file of the ppc stage file.
