First I apologize for this post cause I'm sure it's a duplicate and I would have found answers if I had searched for them BUT that's the problem....

Today I had that surely well known 'failed cache update' error while syncing so I want to search for it but the forum search just won't let me...
When I type
failed cache update
in the quick or extended search it simply ends up in a search for the word cache.
When I try it with + or AND or & and even with " around the words... it will only bring up again the list for 'cache' and nothing else...

I have to say I love the _content_ of this board but I hate the software...

You have threads with dozens or even hundreds of pages and the forum still does not have a "search within thread" option. So you have to read through the thread page by page just to find out it's not the one you searched for...

Again I'm sorry for this post but I simply had to complain about that...

I understand that software like vBulletin does cost quite some money but it is really worth it... see me as one who does not really like phpBB ;)

Sorry, not good enough. Search isn't that bad.
