I am currently using firefox-1.0.7-r4. I tried to upgrade firefox to 1.5.0.1-r2 I keep getting this error

Does it help if you try to compile it with MAKEOPTS="-j1"? This has helped me every time I've had problems compiling firefox. (This trick was mentioned somewhere in these forums...)

the problem is not related to -j1.

the solution i recommend it waiting for next firefox or glibc version - the fix is already available in the bug report and is under testing.

if you are in a hurry, downgrade glibc to 2.3.x, install firefox and then update glibc again..
