Is there a problem to unmask it? :> I'm also using 3.5.1 pertty patches and patched kde.eclass for special USE flags,
KDE runs fine, stable and fast!

It works great.

kontact crashes (closes abruptly) sometimes due to something akregator is doing, once a week or less, kontact running 16 hours a day or more.
kmail seems 100% here but others claim problems (?)
Kopete is kopete but the out of branch version (0.12) will be a better bet when it's released
superkaramba works good, no issues that I've encountered
kicker hasn't crashed in a long time
konqueror is used 99% of the time and works good, still some webpages that are broken or serve up incorrect pages to it though.
kget integration with konq is fine
bookmark handling is more dynamic and updates with the toolbar happen as the changes are made
desktop wallpaper is handled on a per desktop, per display manner
kmenu layout is a little simpler
media handling works as expected, mounts, unmounts, ejects
remote ssh, ftp, webdav, local http, zerconf, all work fine

I can't think of anything that's broke off the top of my head, and most certainly it's in better shape than any version of 3.4 ever was.

I wouldn't get your hopes up on it going stable any time soon though, too much nitpicking and no credibility or recognition given to non-stable testers and their results. I think this pressure for perfection comes from those outside of the kde herd though unfortunately.

* I'm not saying it's a bad thing to try to achieve super stability but when it involves putting effort into what has already got blessed "stable" rather than the effort going into the newer version, and neither is ahead of the other in terms of stability. Also I saw in one of the bugs mentioned that kpdf was a big issue, and I'll agree that it is but it cannot be the reason for holding back the rest of kde since it's no longer supported by kde upstream as soon as it was patched to use poplar and upstream made this very clear.

There isn't anything killing systems, or causing havoc with 3.5, let 3.5.2 come out in a week or whenever, see that it works and mark it stable. Enough with the nonsense that older means better.

*edit

Window focus behavioir in KDE 3.5.0 / 3.5.1 is terrably broken. Windows pop-up in front of each other at very strange moments This is not a small bug.
