How do you get these ralink chipsets working?
The latest nightly builts of rt2x00.serialmonkey.com should be possible to do it on big endian machines but gives kernel panic.

Nope, don't work for me. The needed modules build and load fine, sta_up.sh wlan0 sta0 works, but as soon as I do ifconfig sta0 up the system locks up completely.

Same problem here. Kernel panic.
I could print the kernelpanic generality if it could help.

Solved for me, I've downloaded and compiled the rt73-cvs-daily driver and now it works.

Erm, sorry paoleela I forget about it.
I'm using rt73 driver (that could be found on the link above this reply) for this kind of wireless adapter: Linksys WUSB54GC.
I simply downloaded that driver instead of emerging rt2x00-9999 from portage, and "make && make install" then loaded only rt73 with modprobe and it works. Now probably you have to remove r2x00-9999 before doing that. I've unmerged them and then rm the modules folder and recompiled the kernel(I don't know if there is a more easy/smart way but they keep bouncing up when I modprobed rt73 driver, so I remove the entire modules directory and recompile the entire kernel modules)

Hope this help,
Cheers.

note: the device created from this driver is called rausb0
