Hello all!

I have alsa up and running, and have some mp3's on an external harddrive via firewire connection. I stopped arts...and got XMMS to play through alsa....however, the sound is very slow sounding...like someone was holding the turntable on an album, or like a tape that was dragging....the songs sound very slow.

I shouldn't think it is the external drive or connection, as that these songs sound perfect on the osx side...

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

cayenne

Well, if you want to know if it comes from the drive connection, you should copy one of those
tracks that sounds slow on your local hard drive and try playing it again.
If it is still slow, the problem is probably with the mp3 decoder rather than the drive.
