after emerege blender look like http://people.freedesktop.org/~terry/blender.png
so that hard to see and use menu.
I try to blender-2.40 blender-2.41, both have same problem.
If I download binary file form blender3d.org.
That doesn't have problem.

How can I solve that problem?
or could you give me you build pkg.

my ppc is tibook 15' 876Mhz with 1Gram.

what kind of video card do you have? could you post your "emerge --info" output?

First of all, please take out -fsigned-char from your use-flags. You should *never* set this globally.

As for blender, it could be an endian bug or it could be a video driver bug. You could try migrating to modular X if you're feeling up to trying a new version of the driver. I have only tried blender on an R300 series card, but that driver is missing some functionality so it doesn't work quite right.

I can observe the same problem here. I am using CVS version os Xorg 7 on Pegasos 1GHz G4 and Radeon 9000 card.

I don't know how much this will help but....

I had problems with Blender since upgrading to Xorg-7, although not the problem mentioned here. Lately, I have been experimenting with XGL and upgraded mesa, the ATI drivers, and a few other things to their CVS/SVN versions. Since doing so, my problems with Blender disappeared. It might be something worth trying.

BTW, XGL is so close to working here that I can taste it!
