hi there

im having trouble with the installer from the 2006.0 livecd installer.

everytime (ive tried several settings) i get this error, after about an hour:

>>> emerge (1 of 4) app-text/poppler-0.4.3-r4 to /
Exception received:
EmergePackageError :FATAL: emerge: Could not emerge app-text/ghostscript-esp-7.07.1-r8!
Please submit a bug report (after searching to make sure it's not a known issue and verifying you didn't do something stupid) with the contents of /var/log/install.log and /tmp/installprofile.xml and the version of the installer you used

any idea what that could be?

greetings
sear

I think it's a bug.
Got basicly the same problem with the same livecd.

You could file a bugreport.

See also this thread: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-448649-highlight-.html

Maybe you can chroot in the installation and try
Code:
emerge --resume --skipfirst

and try to recover the installation.

I also came across some forum posts that stated there was a bug in ghostscript.
