I upgraded GCC from version 3.4.4 to 3.4.5, I did the following
Code:
# emerge gcc
# gcc-config i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.4.5
# source /etc/profile
# emerge --oneshot libtool sys-libs/libstdc++-v3

Now some packages fail during compile because they can not find libstdc++, and if looking at the output, it looks for the file in /usr/lib/gcc/i386-pc-linux-gnu/3.4.4 which is the old location and does not exist anymore. What did I forget, or what do I have to do, to finalize the upgrade?

i was having this same problem when it updated to 3.4.6 i think... i dont know completely if its solved, but i tried revdep-rebuild, that failed completely, leading me to check my modified make.conf and then run the following

Code:
/usr/portage/bootstrap.sh && emerge system && emerge world

i dont know if thats the exact command, maybe someone could correct me... its still compiling all the packages, but out of boredom i attempted a compile on another program that was reverting to the 386 and it compiled with the 686 version so it seems to be fixed... hopefully itll help you out a bit...[/code]
