Hi all

When I compile Kernel I have a problem.
Process of compile stoped with error:

LD .tmp_vmlinux1
arch/powerpc/kernel/built-in.o: In function `.sys_call_table':
: undefined reference to `.compat_sys_ipc'
arch/powerpc/kernel/built-in.o: In function `.sys_call_table':
: undefined reference to `.compat_sys_sysctl'
make: *** [.tmp_vmlinux1] Error 1

My server is IBM p5 (POWER 64bit 550 model) and kernel version 2.6.15-gentoo-r7

How I resolv my problem?

Thanks

Hi
Buggy kernel on ppc64.
Go to

http://patchwork.ozlabs.org/linuxppc64/patch?id=4514

There is a patch for kernel at the end of post. Copy it to clipboard and then go to your /usr/src/linux folder, open nano, paste the clipboard and save the file undder the name i.e "sys_call_table.patch". Then apply the patch

patch -p1 < sys_call_table.patch

Make make agaiN and kernel should compile succesfully.

Regards
