Is there anything setup in gentoo to automagically reemerge any driver packages (alsa-drivers, x11-drm, madwifi-ng) that need to be reemerged after a new kernel is compiled? I always manage to forget at least one of the things I need.

Have a look at sys-kernel/module-rebuild. It does exactly what you want.

Moved from Portage & Programming to Duplicate Threads in favour of emerge -u modules?
