I was updating some stuff on my router today and I noticed that ctorrent is masked for ~ppc as well as ~amd64. I've used ctorrent for quite a while on both of these architectures and it's stable as a rock. Unless there's some problems I'm unaware of, I'd say it's unmask-able.

Current version I'm using is 1.3.4-r2, and all previous have been good as well.

For those of you who haven't tried it yet, it's a great BitTorrent client that runs in a console. Perfect for no-X headless boxes and light enough to run unnoticeably in the background. Combine with screen for remote-torrent goodness :)

As an AMD64 user I'd second that.

For both of you, the best way to get a package marked stable when it's marked ~arch is to file a bug, that way the arch teams can take care of it. Most devs don't read the forums, so reporting any kind of keywording issue isn't likely to get the same results that a bug would.

Ok cool. I didn't realise that was a suitable use for bugzilla. :) What should I enter it under? Ebuilds and enhancement?

They do tonight! Two replies from devs (you and dsd) to posts I've made in the last twenty minutes!

Done for PPC. 132194

Feel free to do the same for AMD64 HackingM2. I've never filed a bug before, so I had to look up the protocol. Here's a good howto.

Thanks for that. I guess I should have looked a bit harder - or perhaps at all.

A bit off topic, have you ever heard of Enhanced CTorrent? I've been using it for a while, although it isn't in portage.

I like that I can set downloads to finish after a certain ratio has been reached, rather then just a set amount of seed time. Seed time doesn't matter as much to me as share ratio, so all my torrents finish after a 1.0 ratio has been reached.
