Hello.

I can't get the firewire harddisk connected using the Universal-LiveCD.
I also tried the kernel option ppc32 dofirewire.
Code:

Hi,

I had similar problem and I think there's an issue with LiveCD 2006.0 + Firewire. In my case wanted to install Gentoo, so I booted with 2005.1 where firewire works and at one point use the 2006.0 files to continue the installation.

Check this topic about howto install Gentoo Linux in my external FireWire HD (look for the report I wrote inside the topic).

And one final note about howto boot from FireWire external HD

Luis

Nice, I just erased my 2005.1 CDRW for the new 2006 :) I will watch your thread if the 2006 get's fixed.

It seems to be a kernel issue with 2.6.15, but we probably will not be releasing a new InstallCD until 2006.1 (still months away). For now, the best thing to do is use a 2005.1 CD.
