I am trying to find out if the 64-Bit version for the PPC does in fact have a 64-Bit Java Runtime Environment?

I keep getting limited to the 32-Bit JRE limit of only 2Gb of RAM. I need to find out if the 64-Bit PPC version comes with the JRE that can go up to the 64-bit 4GB limit.

I use IBM java 1.5 for ppc (64-bit) on my G5 running ppc64 linux with 64-bit userland. It works fine, though I don't know if this version of java can actually use memory larger than 2G bytes. Could you tell me how to verify it, by a simple program, for example?

I will write up a little program to this out if you could. I will post it up here on Monday if you would be so kind. If this does work I plan on getting a new PowerMac with 16Gb of RAM to start crunching away.

Thanks much.
