Description:
OO.org does not render bullets and formulas properly in some cases.

This was floating around on the forum for a while now and as more people seem to want this problem "worked around" ,I'll put it here for easy access.

-Does your OO.org have troubles rendering formulas?
-Does your OO.org have troubles rendering bullets and such?

Then try putting the fontfile in this tarbal:
http://melena.homeip.net/Files/OOfont.tar.gz
over the one in here:
Code:

/opt/OpenOffice.org1.0.2/share/fonts/truetype/

Do back up your original file; You never know!
Yes the file is half the size but it fixes the problems in a lot of cases

(Disclaimer: I found this on the WWW somewhere and did not create the font file myself. I am passing it on for all you gentoonites)
If anyone has better place for hosting it, please do modify the link.

[I'm running OpenOffice-ximian-1.1-rc2]

So I tried replacing opens___.ttf with the one from your site. It didn't work. No bullets. :(
I also tried using the one from OpenOffice 1.0 (the bullets work on my laptop). No joy with that either.
Yes, I restarted OO, I restarted xfs, ...

Now what?

[Suggestions here or to me by email would be welcome!]

Yeah, I think this only works for OOO =<1.0.3 alas

Nevertheless, in my OOO 1.1 rc3 fonts are fine!
I installed the version from the website.
