Hello.

I bought my first non-{x86,x86_64} computer, a 1.3GHz G4 Mini Mac, 4 months from now and everything is working just great.

I wanted to know if these processors have scaling.
Quote:
processor : 0
cpu : 7447A, altivec supported
clock : 1333.333328MHz
revision : 0.5 (pvr 8003 0105)
bogomips : 82.94
timebase : 41600571
platform : PowerMac
machine : PowerMac10,2
motherboard : PowerMac10,2 MacRISC3 Power Macintosh
detected as : 287 (Unknown Intrepid-based)
pmac flags : 00000000
L2 cache : 512K unified
pmac-generation : NewWorld

My /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/ exists but is empty.

Here's my kernel interesting part...
Code:
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_TABLE=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_DEBUG=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_STAT=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_STAT_DETAILS=y
# CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_DEFAULT_GOV_PERFORMANCE is not set
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_DEFAULT_GOV_USERSPACE=y
# CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_PERFORMANCE is not set
# CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_POWERSAVE is not set
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_USERSPACE=y
# CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_ONDEMAND is not set
# CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_CONSERVATIVE is not set
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_PMAC=y

Just wondering if there is no scaling for this cpu or if I am making a mistake somewhere.

The CPU supports scaling, but since the mainboard doesn't support voltage scaling, it's not enabled. Sorry.
