When I run genkernel, I get the following error:

ERROR: kernel source directory "/usr/src/linux" was not found!

--Grepping Log...--

Gentoo Linux Genkernel; Version 3.3.11
Running with options: all

Error: kernel source directory "/usr/src/linux: was not found!

-- End Log --

Don't know what this means, it also tells me to refer to the log but it won't let me access it, if I could I would post.
It says something about a bug in genkernel or errors in compiling or something like that. Any suggestions? Any would be helpful - I think! Thanks,

Did you check to see if /usr/src/linux does exist?

Code:

ls -l /usr/src/

Actually, I did not at first, but when I did I found that it does not. Is it a directory that I can create myself or does it depend on something else? I have been reviewing the install documentation and haven't seen that any where.

It could be that I'm just brain dead at the moment from trying to get this to work! 8O

I just found something I did not do:

USE="-doc symlink" emerge gentoo-sources

I never used this. Would that be significant?

Yes, very B-)

Those are the sources for building your kernel.
