Hi there,
I have a D-Link DWL-G122 802.11g rev.B1 USB Wifi, that is Ralink chip-based. The rt2500-1.1.0-b4 driver (that should be something like rt2500.o/rt2x00.o ) is the one I suppose to use.
Now, does anyone know if it can be compiled for PPC or only PC? I have seen no note about it either supporing or unsupporting - I know not what to do.
Does anyone have an advice to keep it or drop it for a PCMCIA Wifi? (I have no Airport.)

You probably need the rt2570 driver (or the experimental rt2x00, check which revision of the card you have). They compile on ppc, but I haven't had any luck getting either to work.

Now, I also gave a try to the latest rt2570 driver (right, the one i need)>
Latest BETA rt2570 driver: v1.1.0-b2

and the CVS daily> 2007020814

CVS is better cause it does not chip the last letter of ESSID with the .19 kernel (unlike the beta driver).
Unfortunately none of the worked for me.
The USB leds were looking dead but X seemed to crash as I started dhcpcd - conky could not start, everything responded late and no motion was smooth.
Dmesg showed nothing useful, and I had no wireless connection.
Even killing with the help of ps x was not effective / only restart.
So, hope others will be more lucky.

The same happened when I tried to configure the D-Link USB manually - as I assigned the IP-Bcast-Nmask addresses, the same happened.... :?
