Since this kernel the firewire connection doesn't survive a suspend anymore. After wakeup the firewire devices aren't available and reloading the firewire related modules results in:
Code:

Can anyone approve that? My machine specs are in signature.

Also curious: When I reboot the kernel Oops comes again and firewire doesn't work. With a second reboot firewire is functional again.

Same here.
After hibernation I tried viewing a DVD, which made xine get stuck enough to reboot the machine to get rid of the dead process.
We must - unfortunately - remember that the suspend code is still not present in some drivers. apparently scsi/firewire is either still experimental or not yet (properly) implemented. :(
