Ok, im a complete n00b with setting up wireless on my ibookG4.

My wireless adapter is the 4318 broadcom I have loaded the firmware using fwcutter and loaded the module all fine, how the hell do i configure it?

I usually use net.eth0 for wired network access.

iwconfig reports my wireless is eth2. and I have already configured wpa_supplicant.conf and /etc/conf.d/net to my needs

I have completely forgot how to set up new network devices which is a problem... and i cant seem to find any docs to help.

Basically can someone tell me in a nutshell how to scan for a network and connect using eth2?

cheers for help

Here. Also don't forget to create the net.eth2 symlink and add it to the "default" runlevel.

Code:
# ifconfig eth2 up
# iwlist eth2 scan

And you should see the available networks. For the "how to connect" part, read the documentation I linked to above, it varies depending on whether you're using WPA, WEP or no security.
