|I recently emerged eclipse-sdk-3.2.1-r2 on ppc32
|dev-util/eclipse-sdk-3.2.1-r2 USE="branding cairo opengl -gnome -seamonkey" |
|$ java-config -L
The following VMs are available for generation-2:
1) IBM JDK 126.96.36.199 [ibm-jdk-bin-1.4]
*) IBM JDK 188.8.131.52 [ibm-jdk-bin-1.5]
and at first glance it seems to run much like under x86. However, in many menus (e.g., Preferences, or Software Update/Manage Configuration) I get what appears to be white text on white background, or sometimes it is just disappearing text on mouse rollover. Has this happened to anyone else, or does anyone have a clue what might be wrong?
I am using Fluxbox and xfce's terminal so I do not have gnome installed (or KDE for that matter). Could it be eclipse is just not happy without that? Could it be some strange effect of IBM's Java?
Thanks for any tips!
