When i boot up from the cd it crashes. Same thing happened with my YDL. it starts up with

Using PowerMac machine description (Rest of line is covered in white)
Total memory = 128MB; Using 256kb for has table..........etc
(Bottom of screen is covered in white also)

Any ideas?

What kind of Mac are you running?

Check if the RAM is OK.

What's the last line it prints? Don't just write "etc" ... :p It sounds like it could be the framebuffer driver not loading properly. What kind of Mac?
