Enjoy.

Forgive my n00bness but what is a shoutcast? Is it basically just internet radio?

Yeah it's just an internet radio server daemon. Most internet radios stream using either Shoutcast or Icecast, the above app supports both AFAIK.

My request:

I need a Macromedia Flash editor. I've found many text-based actionscript compilers, but nothing GUI based at all. The only non Adobe/Macromedia tool I can find is Swish, but that's for Windows only.

Crossover office handled it great, but I'm no longer subscribed, and MX 2004 isn't supported.

Is this what you need? (Result of a brief google search)

Three straight hours of Googling and nothing! May I ask what your search term was?

This was several months ago though, maybe it's a new project.

Thank you very much.

Im really sorry, but I know of nothing (free) that allows you to create flash multimedia on linux. I would recommend using Crossover Office and the actual Flash application, which works great, if your financially well to do. Trust me, Ive been looking for something for ages that does this.
f4l.sf.net looks quite promising for now, but keep in mind its not capable of anything yet.

I thought Linux users truly believed that SVG is capable of replacing Flash.

Why not fiddle around with that?

If you're looking for SVG, you have to try Inkscape!

After, if you want to edit it, use Audacity. Its really incredible. It also has midi support from what I gather.
