Hi,

I need to resize my root partition, which has a reiserfs on it. My plan is to stretch it but I need a boot cd with an up to date parted version on it that can handle resizing of reiserfs. The 2007 install cd or minimal cd did not support reiserfs. Does anybody know of any other ppc boot cds that could help me out with this problem or can anybody help me make a boot cd?

Help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much.

If you are forced to create your own cd then this might help: http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Gentoo_LiveCD_and_LiveUSB

Maybe Finnix can help you.

mabhobs,

Is mounting another partition in your filesystem tree an option ?
/home and /usr are good candidates for being moved off of root. Also /var and /tmp but you have less to gain that way.
