I got gentoo working on my ps3 a couple of days ago. Now after the 2.10 update the otheros.bld I was using is not working. If I load up the otheros.bld from the 2006.1 livecd ps3 install kboot pops right up. Is this problem reproducible by anyone else? I have the 60Gb version by the way.

This might be of interest to you:

As a quick sort of answer: Yes, firmware 2.10 did break most people's Linux installs. However, Geoff's patch should fix it.

For those who are following this thread, you should use the latest media. If you had an exisiting Gentoo install and want to fix it to work with 2.10 and greater, then follow these instructions -> http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/cell/wiki/Rescue
