Sorry, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by BootX raw image. Can you be a bit more specific? Basically, you should be using the uncompressed kernel (vmlinux) just as with Yaboot.

Ok, I really was (very) missing and swapped some words .

I download BootX, unpack it, created the "Linux Kernels" folder and moved the applel kernel, ram disk apple.igz, bootx extension and bootx app control panel for the correct place (i believe).

After it i started the bootx, selected the apple.igz for ram disk, defined the kernel arguments and set the size of randisk.
(Even saving the size randisk (>32000) it returne, at next bootx startup, for a lower value. :!: :?:)

When I try to boot Linux stop before the small tux appear on the screen 8O, as if an common file was been used how randisk. But when unset the randisk and haven't kernel argument the boot will until try mount the root file systen.

Do have someone a solution?

Perhaps my randisk is bugged, or murphy dislike me. If haven't solutions i'll carry the performa hd for my normal, stable and functional linux pc and install gentoo from it. Do are any tips, tricks and cares for these exotic cross plataform installation ?
