|Does anyone know if it's possible to control a PS3 remotely (or even turn it on), while it's in the PS3 OS (NOT gentoo on the PS3), using another PC instead of the controller?
I've tried using bluetooth, but I would need to either trick the PS3 into pairing with my PC, or spoof a SIXAXIS MAC address on my bluetooth dongle (which isn't supported afaik - it's a Broadcom chip)
I also tried using WOL to turn it on, and wasn't able to get that working either. Probably because I use wireless.
I know the PS3 now supports Remote Play with a PSP, which would let the PSP turn on the PS3 and control some aspects of the PS3 (I don't have one myself, so I don't know everything it can do), but again I can't spoof a PSP connecting because you have to connect the PSP via USB in order to register it with the PS3.
There's got to be some way to emulate one of these things from a PC... Any thoughts?
