just like the title says, nothing works. i can't open a terminal, no firefox, no file manager, etc etc. the only way to do anything is by switching to another terminal, and i'm not very experienced with what i can do from here.
if i click the "terminal" shortcut in my panel, i little box shows up in the corner that says "starting terminal", but there's no disk activity, and then it will go away after a couple of seconds - the same is true for anything else.
no desktop acceleration (compiz)
i'm a bit short on time this morning, so just ask if there is something that i missed.
thanks
