Hi,

I end up with weird situation when I completed update of world followed by emerge --depclean. Since that time all KDE4 packages that I am trying to merge failed to build with this message:

Code:

-- Check for working CXX compiler: /usr/bin/i686-pc-linux-gnu-g++ -- works
CMake Error: ERROR: cmake/modules/FindKDE4Internal.cmake not found in kde4-config; symbol lookup error; /usr/kde/4.0/lib/libkdecore.so.5; undefined symbol; _Z7qstrcmpRK10QByteArrayS1_
-- Configuring done

So it looks I am not able to reinstall KDE4 after I "cleaned" my system up :(

Is there some remedy for this?

Thanks!

please revdep-rebuild.... and for the future, NEVER EVER EVER emerge --depclean. that goes for all of you.

Unfortunately this is the problem:

revdep-rebuild failed to emerge all packages
you have the following choices:

- if emerge failed during the build, fix the problems and re-run revdep-rebuild
    or
- use -X or --package-names as first argument (trys to rebuild package, not exact
  ebuild)
    or
- set ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~<your platform>" and/or /etc/portage/package.unmask
(and remove /root/.revdep-rebuild.5_order to be evaluated again)
    or
- modify the above emerge command and run it manually
    or
- compile or unmerge unsatisfied packages manually, remove temporary files and
try again (you can edit package/ebuild list first)

To remove temporary files, please run:
rm /root/.revdep-rebuild*.?_*
stable ondrej #

This has been sloved by rebuilding kdelibs:4 first and that the rest of all KDE4 packages. Actually only kdelibs package was possible to emerge without errors. This was the trick.
