Over the weekend I decided to delete the kubuntu install on my PS3 and try the gentoo OS instead.
I couldn't get the minimal install disk to boot, it wouldn't let me tab to change the resolution, so I used the XFCE live disk and booted to a workgin desktop.
Unfortunately I couldn’t get the wireless to work with WPA. I could find it using iwlist, I tried making a wpa_supplicant.conf but it wouldn’t run (can’t remember the exact message but it kept cycling through an error until I ctrl-c ‘d). The wpa_gui wouldn’t run due to a user restriction and it wouldn’t launch from a cli because of an overlay error. iwpriv commands don’t seem to be supported either. So is there any way to get a WPA secured network to work?
