Has anybody succesfully compiled banshee-1 on gentoo? It's not yet in portage, but you can download the source code from here.
I've got the error message:

* No rules to make `Migo.Syndication/Migo.Syndication.Data/TablesManagers/EnclosuresTableManager.cs'

And compilation stops. Any ideas?

After emerge --sync I still don't have banshee-1 in portage.

Code:

$ emerge -s banshee
*  media-sound/banshee
      Latest version available: 0.12.1
      Latest version installed: 0.12.1
      Size of files: 3,009 kB
      Homepage:      http://banshee-project.org
      Description:   Banshee allows you to import CDs, sync your music collection, play music directly from an iPod, create playlists with songs from your library, and create audio and MP3 CDs from subsets of your library.

Select a different rsync mirror then. Yours seem to lag behind. It has been added yesterday.

I've tried two :
"rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage"
"rsync://rsync.europe.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage"

and after emerge --sync I still see only banshee-0.12.1
Which server do you use?

szczelba,

All the servers update every 30 minutes. Banshee is keyworded as follows
Code:
 /usr/portage/media-sound/banshee $ grep -i keywords *
banshee-0.12.1.ebuild:KEYWORDS="amd64 ppc x86"
banshee-0.13.1.ebuild:KEYWORDS="~amd64 ~ppc ~x86"
banshee-0.13.2-r1.ebuild:KEYWORDS="~amd64 ~x86"
banshee-0.13.2.ebuild:KEYWORDS="~amd64 ~x86"
banshee-1.0.0.ebuild:KEYWORDS="~amd64 ~x86"

This means that 0.12.1 is stable and later versions are in testing, either because they are not yet ready for stable or because they depend on things that are not yet ready for stable (other testing packages)

If you want the testing banshee add
Code:
media-sound/banshee
to your /etc/portage/package.keywords file, which may not exist yet.
When you emerge banshee now, you will get banshee-1.0.0. However, it may fail to emerge if it depends on other testing packages.
The error message will tell you the first package causing a problem ... add it to your /etc/portage/package.keywords too.

This is how you add testing packages to your stable install. Read
Code:
man portage
You can control version numbers too. thats covered in the man page.
