do you have this 'ACPI_DEBUG_FUNC_TRACE' enabled?

I had a lot of tracing options enabled in my -zenmm kernel configs and saw a lot of messages that didnt mean much.

@I think rmh3093 said something like 'turn off all those f&*%ing *_trace options'.

*that might not be word for word ;)

CONFIG_STACKTRACE_SUPPORT=y
# CONFIG_BLK_DEV_IO_TRACE is not set
# CONFIG_RCU_TRACE is not set
# CONFIG_NETFILTER_XT_TARGET_TRACE is not set
CONFIG_TRACE_IRQFLAGS_SUPPORT=y

only this... i think it can be the irqflags_support... if those messages doesn't really mean something ill just turn it off :D

Similar messages appeared for me and when I turned off most of the debug stuff I was using they went away (of course) and the kernel booted and ran fine.

meh, this can't be compared to my loads of 29.59 and/or 5.26

in that case it hardlocks at earliest after a few hours (or even minutes) :idea:

still don't know the cause of those hardlocks (I also don't have time to investigate :( )

works very well for me: gaming with Enemy Territory.
i'm using it with this nvidia driver.

haven't seen performances like these since 2.6.22-ck1 with this driver.

I pulled zenmm today and wow - reiser4 doesn't panic any more :)
However I'm back to zen2.0 as openafs-kernel doesn't compile under 2.6.27 :(

Uh, zen-overlay 173/177 nvidia-drivers should work with this kernel. :O If they don't, either I'm not doing my job, or you haven't sync'd lately. :P

Good job at both, the kernel and the overlay!

Kernel (.27-rc1-zenmm0) runs stable and fluffy so far, nvidia works fine with it.

Thanks! :)

EDIT: Arghs, under some load it is very choppy actually. mouse hangs, audio skipps. Hm.

I'm also noticed some sluggishness in kde 4 under load, however in gnome it's ok.

Is it possible to shrink the .git folder a little bit? It's currently taking 271M and compared to other kernel sources the zenmm-kernel is rather big :/

layer src # du -sh ./*
0 ./linux
314M ./linux-2.6.26-gentoo
734M ./zenmm-sources

init_mm was planned for removal from exported symbols as it's not used outside a kernel.

You have to enable the export of unused/obsolete symbols under kernel hacking.
Works fine over here.
