Hello all,

I'm trying to emerge apache on my iBook G4:

Code:

# emerge -pv apache

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!

Total: 1 package (1 new), Size of downloads: 0 kB

It failed always the same way:

I have tried to emerge apache 2.2.8-r3 but same error.

This error is very strange. I have also tried to change the APACHE2_MPMS but it always fail.

Code:

 * Please note that you need SysV IPC support in your kernel.
 * Make sure CONFIG_SYSVIPC=y is set.

Of course I have checked this and it's compiled in my kernel....

Anyone have an idea ?

is the /usr/src/linux link correctly pointing to the kernel sources where you have CONFIG_SYSVIPC enabled ( the one you are currently using i guess ) ?

cheers

Hi,

Yes, it is:

Code:

orongo ~ # ls -al /usr/src/
total 12
drwxr-xr-x  3 root root 4096 Jul 11 21:08 .
drwxr-xr-x 12 root root 4096 Jul 11 20:49 ..
-rw-r--r--  1 root root    0 Jun 20 17:23 .keep
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root   22 Jul 11 21:08 linux -> linux-2.6.24-gentoo-r3
drwxr-xr-x 21 root root 4096 Jul 14 10:57 linux-2.6.24-gentoo-r3

orongo ~ # uname -r
2.6.24-gentoo-r3

I have also discovered this in the bugzilla:

https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=208243

so I have tried to re-emerge apr but still crashing....

Any other idea ?
