After cleaning up all unneeded packages - and, apparently, some needed ones as well - I can't start any KDE 4.1 applications as user:
Code:
% konsole
<unknown program name>(16330)/: Communication problem with  "konsole" , it probably crashed.
Error message was:  "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply" : " "Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus)" "

(Okular and Gwenview report segfaults but it's probably the same problem). Everything works fine as root.

I've already tried restoring backups of /etc/dbus as well as my peronal settings (complete /home/folder) and adding myself to the messagebus group. Recompiling kdelibs and dbus didn't help either,

Any suggestions what to do now?

I've found someone mentioning the same problem, that person fixed it by switching the theme. In my case, the problem seems to be that Oxygen is missing. In which package can I find it?

EDIT: I fixed it by installing x11-themes/oxygen form arcon overlay.
