As far as I can tell, breakmygentoo has been dead for a while, at least the site has been gone...

it's just that i want to install this gnome panel replacement called gimmie, and it seemed that break my gentoo had it. Anyone else know if any other overlay has that?

i may start a new topic to ask about it.

No need for a new topic, just a quick google.

It appears in the gentoo-china overlay (top hit) and is currently on version 0.2.8 which seems to the the latest according to the website (although nothing much seems to have happened in the past year).

So if you don\'t already have it installed install layman and grab the gentoo overlay (you\'ll also need subversion for this particular overlay as thats what the gentoo-china overlay uses) and install from there.

Only if you change the locale on your system at the same time.

Its just a name for the overlay, there are tons of overlays out there and they have to be named something.
