Hey!

Really quick question:

I'm using KDE4 from svn through layman. That's cool that's all sorted. My question is how can I clean up the svn-checkouts? With the normal distfiles, we can use eclean-dist to do the work for us. Is anyting like that available for layman's svn checkouts that may or may not be needed anymore? I know I could just delete is all and it'll pull back in what it needs next time I compile, but, that's a hell of a lot of bandwidth if we all are constantly doing that, ya know?

Code:
root@aragorn /usr/portage/distfiles/svn-src/KDE # du -hs
1.6G    .

root@aragorn /usr/portage/distfiles/svn-src/KDE # find -type f | wc
 198973  198976 15988461

Just wonderin', it's not THAT big of a deal.

Thanx!

Since svn and other version controlled ebuilds update the existing files instead of just downloading new files every time you will only have the sources of your currently installed system in the distfiles directory.

Thank you for the answer, man.

Ya know not long before I decided to check to see if anyone replied, that exact thought (well close, anyway :) ) flashed through my head. When they change something, my repo changes. When they delete, move, rename, etc., my repo changes. I wish I would've thought of that before posting...

Though, I do thank you for taking the time to reply!
