Does anyone know what set ktorrent is supposed to belong to? I have emerged @kde-live but it is not in there.

Also is the @live-rebuild set used for kde-live?

If anyone is having problems since yesterday, check your portage version. Portage 2.2 was masked yesterday so your system may have downgraded to 2.1.

is there a way to update from portage kde 4.1.3 to svn from the overlay WITHOUT unmerging the whole stuff because it wants a new slot and thus blocks?

Hi there,
is anyone of you able to build pykde4-9999 ebuild from kde-crazy? I was never able to build it, usually it fails on plasma :-(

What is the magic to build it successfully?

Thanks!

hello

I build kde-crezy without problems (228 packeges). There were only errors in kcalc because of improper comments in the code. And come collision files from kde-4.1.3.

Now everything works, but some are not stable:)

P.S. kde-crazy (4.1.80-live) + compiz-fusion (0.7.8)

might these build problems come from simultaneous updates to various packages?

For example, a dev invents two functions in package A and B. Portage downloads package A in version 1 before that change was made, compiles package A version 1 succsessfully and then wants to download package B. Unfortunagely, package B was changed to version 2 while portage compiled, and it now depends on a new function in package A version 2 that was changed simultaneously with package B version 2. Therefore, portage, which downloaded package A version 1 and package B version 2 exits with error when emerging package B version 2.

Unfortunately, live ebuilds are a version number 9999, which means, that portage cannot care about version dependencies....

seems like the tarballs are there, but downloading results in a checksum error. overlay is synced...

EDIT: apparently only kdelibs and kworkspace tar.bz2's affected ;)

I downloaded them from ftp.kde.org. So I think the checksum for those files might be wrong.

Not only checksums are wrong, the size is too. (at least for kdelibs-4.1.80.tar.bz2)

The same problem with kdebase-workspace-4.1.80.tar.bz2, what causes much more effort than kdelibs (have to run ebuild on almost all packages from @kdebase-4.2 set)

Well, if the ebuild developers uses the own tarballs made from svn, the checksum and size of official tarballs should be probably different.

Well, then maybe the ebuild should fetch _those_ tarballs instead of the official ones, so the checksum matches? You know, just an idea...

I've completed fetching and only kdelibs and kdebase-workspace were incorrect. I'll see then if it works, having digested those on my own.

I don't think so.
Update manifests. Hope correctly :)

Don't want to unmask it now manually and then remove unmasking later.
