Hi,

I was running openoffice-bin-3.0.0_rc1 just fine, and then I had to remerge my whole system because I was having Qt linking problems. Since openoffice-bin-3.0.0_rc1 was removed from the tree for some reason and replaced with openoffice-bin-3.0.0_rc2 and I only had rc1 unmasked, I got downgraded to openoffice-bin-2.4.1. When I realized this, I tried to upgrade to openoffice-bin-3.0.0_rc2, but I got this message:

Code:
 * Messages for package app-office/openoffice-bin-3.0.0_rc2:

 * Sorry, but openoffice-bin does not support the LINGUAs: en_US
 *
 * Searching all installed packages for file collisions...
 *
 * Press Ctrl-C to Stop
 *
 * None of the installed packages claim the file(s).

This is after it downloaded all the packages, decompressed them, and started some installation procedures. Any ideas as to what's going on?

Thanks!

That didn't really help - I switched my LINGUAS from ``en en_US ja'' to ``en_US en ja'' and it gave the same error. I then changed it to ``en ja'' and it still gave me the error. Then I changed it to ``en en_US'' and it didn't work. Neither did ``en'' or ``en_US''.

You seem to get file collisions. See further up in the output what files are colliding and delete those, or use
Code:
FEATURES="-collision-protect" emerge openoffice-bin

That allowed the emerge to complete succesfully, but I get this error when I run ooffice:
Code:
*** stack smashing detected ***: /usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice.bin terminated

I get this error when I run oowriter:
Code:
/usr/bin/soffice: line 134: 13889 Segmentation fault      "$sd_prog/$sd_binary" "$@"

Hi,

I upgraded to RC4, and now it just crashes on startup. First I tried it without removing the ~/.openoffice* and ~/.ooo* directories, and I got this:
Code:
Signal 11 during fontconfig initialization called, ignoring fontconfig
*** stack smashing detected ***: /usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice.bin terminated

Then I deleted those directories, and it just crashes without any error.
