only it works if i changed into root and run it which i don't like,
here is what i got
Quote:
Can not read application.ini

and i've try several ways to solve it , remove .mozilla,
rebuild it ,unmerge&merge it,
locate application.ini(somewhere like"/lib/mozill-firefox/application.ini")&&chmod it and so on
but none works.
firefox's version is 3.1beta1 build from source.
Could someone give me some hints here?

You could use a firefox-3 ebuild from portage. Add xulrunner to your use-flags in /etc/make.conf and add firefox to your keywords for your ARCH
Code:
echo "www-client/mozilla-firefox ~ARCH" >> /etc/portage/package.keywords
emerge mozilla-firefox -av

PS: If you want to do that, you should uninstall your from source version first.
